We all have a deep desire for peace in our lives but we never really investigate how to create peace for the world and ourselves. In this workshop, we will look at ways to create peace in our daily lives. How can you take charge of a disturbing situation in your life, whether with a family member, work situation, or world problem?
How do we learn to change from feeling like victims to feeling like we can take action, and shift that which disturbs us? You will learn about a profound healing technique called Reconciliation through Living Love which is applicable to your everyday lives while deeply affecting the world around you. You can change conflict into reconciliation. Once this process is taught it becomes an automatic response to life that allows a deep profound loving into our lives.
Learning to live from this place of peace has tremendous effects on the environments around us, for if we are truly to have peace on this planet it will come from each of us being at peace inside of ourselves. Perhaps the greatest gift we can each give is living a life of joy from a place of peace. This training is experiential in nature and reflects directly into our lives.

About the Facilitator
Karey Thorne
Karey Thorne is a therapist and educator who conducts workshops in the United States, Europe and Asia. For the past 15 years she has taught peace studies classes at the high school and college level, and conducts international service internships with students, in Cambodia, China, and Kenya. As head of PeaceJam New Mexico she organized 6 international peace conferences, in which Nobel Peace Laureates met with youth. She has been in private practice as a therapist for 19 years. In all of her work she incorporates a spiritual perspective, which is the core of her approach to peace and transformation in the world. She is Executive Director of Heart to Hands, a non-profit that works with developing transformational leaders for the future through education and service to others. www.hearttohands.org. She has a BA in Political Science and Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound, and an MA in Counseling from Southwestern College and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist.
